Biography
Dr Dan Forth is currently the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Manager at Edinburgh Genomics Clinical Genomics HiSeq X Facility based at the Roslin Institute. His management of the LIMS ensures that liquid handling robots, HiSeq X sequencers and other high-throughput equipment can work seamlessly in an automatic fashion and all laboratory processes are fully tracked from submission of DNA samples till the release of the sequence data. He has 10 years experience supporting Clinical trials and has provided LIMS management on trials for most of the world’s biggest pharmaceutical companies. He holds a PhD in Plant Molecular Biology from the University of Nottingham and has held a number of positions in biotech start-ups ranging from genetic screening of basmatic rice to the development of the TapeStation
