Augusto Abreu Esteves

Biography

Augusto Esteves is a Lecturer at Edinburgh Napier University with a PhD in Informatics Engineering (Human-Computer Interaction) from the University of Madeira. Here was where in 2010 he finished his MSc thesis in the same area, with work that won first prize at the Fraunhofer Portugal Challenge 2010. His research interests lie in lowering the physical and cognitive demands of computer interfaces through the design of multimodal interaction, and he has explored these concepts as a Visiting Researcher in several institutes. These include the Siemens Healthcare Technology Center, Lancaster University, the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, the Eindhoven University of Technology, and the Korean Advanced Institute Science and Technology.
