Vincent J. Rosivach

Biography

Professor Rosivach received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Fordham University. He has also studied at the University of Louvain (Belgium) and as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Bologna (Italy). He joined the Fairfield faculty in 1965, earned tenure in 1970, and was promoted to Professor of Classics in 1976.

Research Interest

Professor Rosivach has written two books and over one hundred twenty articles and reviews on a wide variety of literary and historical topics within the field of Classics, as well as articles on slavery in colonial Connecticut. His current research is focused on the society and institutions of ancient Athens, and on slavery in the town of Fairfield.
