Biography
Having been involved in writing the BA(Hons) Creative Events Management course, Claire joined the teaching team at the beginning of course delivery in 2010. In writing the course, her ambition was to enable students to develop their skills and become useful, creative and productive project managers and she is delighted to see the progress of each student through the degree. Claire is also managing director of Mackerel Sky Events, a South West based creative events agency delivering over 100 events per year and with a team working across the UK. In this role, she hosts over 250 days of work placements each year and she is event director for City of Lights in Truro in November each year, one of the largest switch on events outside London. With her broad experience in community, corporate and creative event production and business management, Claire teaches the Professional Studies course in the third year and the Innovation for Events module in the second year.

Various one day training courses including Event Management, Innovation & Organisational Development, Safeguarding, Agile for Creative Businesses, Business Planning, Digital Marketing, Team Management, and Strategy Development.
