Biography
With a background in photography education across the key stages, FH and HE I have also worked as a part time freelance photographer. Currently, I am the second year tutor and theory coordinator for BA(Hons) Press & Editorial Photography and a module leader for BA(Hons) Journalism, supporting practice and theory modules across both courses with an emphasis on developing industry led curricular, peer learning and peer assessment. I have worked at Falmouth since 2005 across Journalism, Press & Editorial Photography, Professional Writing and PR. I am also a member of the RANE and Black Box research groups.
Research Interest
Research interests and expertise I am a RANE associate researcher and undertake projects that attempt to communicate change in environmental systems through music and photography. The Apple Tree Orchestra is a musical performance written by apple trees, logging their annual growth, seasonal patterns and fertility. Soil Sensor tracks airborne seeds by photographing their germination in sterile soil quadrants.
