Biography
Carol Sawdye is Chief Operating Officer for the PwC network. As Chief Operating Officer, Carol will be driving the budgeting, financial planning and investments processes throughout the PwC network and collaborating with the global leadership team on network transformation. Prior to her current role, Carol was Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of PwC US. In her role as PwC US’s CFO, she was responsible for PwC's financial functions including budgeting and reporting, business development, partnership taxation, treasury, internal audit and real estate. She represented the US on the Network Leadership Team COO Group and was a member of the US Leadership Team. Carol re-joined PwC US in November 2012 after working for the National Basketball Association (NBA), where she served as the Executive Vice President and CFO. She oversaw the financial affairs of the league and its related entities, including managing the NBA's financial relationships with its 30 teams. Carol also spent eight years at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, initially as CFO and later also assuming responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer. Carol began her career at PwC, and spent her first 17 years (the last six as a partner) mostly serving Fortune 500 public clients, primarily focused on the media and entertainment industry. Carol is a CPA, licensed to practice in NY. She received her BS in accounting from the University of Virginia and her MBA, with specialisation in international business and corporate finance, from Columbia Business School. She and her husband live in Savannah, Georgia.
