Biography
Kevin Peter Muldoon is an Head of Department in Psychology at Herioy Watt University, UK.
Research Interest
Kevin’s research interests focus on the development of numerical understanding in the pre-school and early school years. A recent collaboration with Nankai University on numerical estimating has yielded valuable insights into the impact that culturally different teaching practices have on formative numeracy, and ongoing work on differences in early conceptualisations of number between Asia and Europe will further this line of work. Kevin is also particularly interested in an often-overlooked route into numerical understanding: sharing.
