Matthew E. Monaghan

Biography

 Matthew E. Monaghan is an independent director who joined our Board in October 2016, and is a member of the Audit Committee and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Mr. Monaghan currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer at Invacare Corporation, a medical device manufacturer for the home and long-term healthcare markets, a position he has held since April 2015. Mr. Monaghan was named Chairman of the Board in May 2015. He previously served as Senior Vice President, Global Hips and Reconstructive Research for Zimmer Holdings, Inc., a global company that designs, develops, manufactures and markets orthopedic reconstructive, spinal and trauma devices, dental implants, and related surgical products from 2014 to 2015. He also served as Vice President and General Manager, Global Hips Business at Zimmer from 2009 through 2013. Mr. Monaghan also has served as Operating Executive for Texas Pacific Group from 2006 to 2009 and at Cerberus Capital Management from 2003-2005. He started his career in the aerospace, medical and other industrial businesses of General Electric. Mr. Monaghan is a trustee of Cleveland Clinic Avon Lake Hospital. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and an MBA from INSEAD in France. We believe Mr. Monaghan’s nearly three decades of medical device development, operating management for private equity investors, and manufacturing will be exceptionally valuable as we continue to develop INC’s capabilities in this important area.
