Biography
Alan was appointed as Senior Independent Director in July 2014. He was previously Chief Financial Officer and a Director of Lonmin Plc. Prior to this, he was Group Finance Director of The BOC Group. Before joining BOC, he worked for Inchcape plc for 22 years in a variety of roles and was Group Finance Director from 1999 until 2005. He is a Chartered Accountant and sits on the Business Policy Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
