Mark Henderson

Biography

I first started working for Keele University in September 2004 when I joined the Department of Medicines Management as an IT/AV Modern Apprentice while also successfully studying for a HNC in Computing and also a Foundation Degree award. After two years, I was appointed as a permanent member of staff to the role of an IT/AV Technician in the School of Pharmacy. My responsibilities to the School have been extremely varied over the years. My main responsibility is to provide IT Support to the School's Postgraduate Programmes for both staff and students. However, I have had the opportunity to test my skills and underake several projects as well, including the development of interactive learning materials (iPDFs) for use on both Windows platforms and iOS devices, the design of websites for the School and externally, the management of the School's Virtual Learning Environment (KLE) and electronic portfolio system (PebblePad) and plenty of others to keep me busy. My wish for the future would be to conintue my professional development by makin a return to studying at an advanced level, increasing my knowledge of IT systems in keeping with the ever-changing world of technology as it is today.
