Biography
Appointed to the Board as a non-executive director in March 2009. He was a member of the board of directors of National Grid plc from April 2003 to July 2014, during which time he undertook a number of senior roles within the organisation. He is a chartered engineer and a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. He is Chairman of the Energy Systems Catapult, President of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and Chairman of the Power Academy.
