Biography
Sophie studied for her BA in French and Hispanic Studies at King’s and then gained funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council to undertake both her MA in Spanish and Latin American Studies and her PhD entitled Uruguayan Theatre in Translation: Performability, Mobility and Intercultural Dialogue. She completed the British Council English Language Assistantship in Argentina and has carried out research at the Universidad de la República in Uruguay and at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2016-2017 she held a Teaching Fellowship at the University of Warwick where she developed and delivered an innovative translation programme for Hispanic Studies students. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and she has gained extensive experience of Higher Education Administration, particularly in relation to Study Abroad.
