Biography

Peter is a barrister at Monckton Chambers; called in 1976, he took Silk in 1997. Peter has an MA (Oxon) and an LLM from the University of Pennsylvania. His competition work is high profile, and Peter is regularly instructed by both regulators and private parties; however, Peter has also maintained a strong commercial and public law practice and has appeared in a wide range of cases involving EC and ECHR points, both in the English and Community courts, and represented a major telecommunications operator in a test case before the Court of Final Appeal of Hong Kong. He also sits as an arbitrator and as a Recorder  (part-time judge) in the Crown Court. Research Interest

Peter’s research interests range across the whole gamut of competition law issues and beyond, including general EC law, public law and human rights.
