Biography
"Timothy Macklem joined the Dickson Poon School of Law as Lecturer in 1996, became Reader in Law in 2003, and Professor of Jurisprudence in 2004. Before coming to King’s he served as Crown Counsel to the Attorney General of Ontario, in the Constitutional Law and Policy Division. Before becoming a lawyer at all he was a Linotype (and to a lesser extent, Monotype) operator and machinist. He has earned a BA in English Literature from Carleton University, an LLB from the University of Ottawa, a BCL from the University of Oxford, and a DPhil from the University of Oxford. Tim was Head of School until May 2013. Prior to this, he held a number of positions within the School including Deputy Head of School, Head of Academic Affairs, Learning and Teaching Coordinator and Head of Undergraduate Welfare."
