Biography
A member of Essex Court Chambers and practicing at the English Bar from 1998 to date, specialising in public international law and international arbitration. He is regularly instructed as counsel in investment treaty cases, and is likewise regularly instructed by various governments in State/State cases and has appeared before international tribunals including the International Court of Justice, the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea and tribunals set up pursuant to Annex VII of the Convention on the Law of the Sea. He is Chairman of the Public International Law Advisory Committee of the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL) and co-author of Halsbury’s International Relations Law.
