Biography
I trained as an organic/medicinal chemist and strayed into the NMR field (pun intended) as a result of my research. The projects I have worked on have revolved around synthetic organic chemistry. I have synthesised drug-like compounds, worked on plant extracts and analysed organics and complexes using chiefly NMR spectroscopy to characterise those compounds. Working in collaboration with other scientists, I have cultivated my knowledge of NMR and how the technology can be used to answer varied scientific questions. My well rounded experience allows me to provide solutions adapted to the problem/question at hand. I have been collaborating with a number of academic colleagues in the Departments of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and more recently with a DoS and his PhD student in the Department of Biomolecular Sciences.
Research Interest
Organic and Medicinal Chemistry, FT-NMR Spectroscopy (solution phase), NMR data processing
