Biography
Farooq is a Chartered Management Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant who sits in the board of an NFP as its finance director. Farooq also serves in an advisory role for another global organisation for harmonisation of the accounting practices of its international operations which are spread in several dozen countries. Farooq's industry experience includes roles at Fidelity International as Fund Accountant and at RSI International (formerly Baker Tilly accountants) in audit function. He has also lectured accountancy for ACCA and CIMA professional qualifications. Farooq currently serves as the secretary of British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) SEAG. Farooq has been receiving prestigious academic teaching and learning awards for three consecutive years at Kingston University. These awards include Lecturer of the year, Best use of technology, Personal tutor award and university wide Personal Support award.
