Professor Peter Foot
Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences
Kingston University London
United Kingdom
Biography
I studied chemistry at the Universities of Southampton and Oxford. Later, working at Brighton and Sussex Universities, I became interested in inorganic materials and organic polymers. Present interests are mainly in functional polymers and nanocomposites for energy conversion, organic optics & electronics and drug delivery.I led the Materials Research Group at Kingston University (1995-2008) and was Founding Director of the Materials Research Centre. I retired as full-time Professor of Materials Science in 2014, and am now an Emeritus Professor.
Research Interest
Polymer Chemistry, Inorganic Materials Chemistry, Organic electronics and optoelectronics
