Biography

I began my career in Health and Social care 29 years ago and have worked for Lighthouse Healthcare here at Healthlinc House since 2003. One of the things I really like about working for Lighthouse is the commitment they show to the individuals living within our services. I first became interested in supporting people with learning disabilities when I was a volunteer for MENCAP as part of the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme. As a Registered Nurse and Registered Mental Health Nurse the part of my job I enjoy the most is spending time with the people that live here in Healthlinc House and guiding others in how best to provide them with opportunities, enabling them to live as positive a life as possible. I get a real sense of job satisfaction when I can see that the people living here are happy or have made an achievement which is important to them.”
