Professional Biography 2001- 2003: Full-time Researcher, CULTOS project, Institute of Romance Studies, School of Advanced Study, University of London 2002: Lecturer in Italian, University of Reading 2003-2011: Lecturer in Italian 2011: Senior Lecturer in Italian 2015: Director of CIDRAL, Centre for the Interdisciplinary Research in the Arts and Languages.
Research Interest
My work is interdisciplinary, since it is mostly concerned with the interconnections between cultural, aesthetic and historical moments. My research focuses on the fascist period, the late nineteenth-century Italian novel, translation theory, censorship, literary journals, Modernism, history of publishing, intellectual history and contemporary writing. So far, I completed three main projects:
