Biography
Phil read law at the University of Birmingham and completed his doctoral thesis at the University of Cambridge. He taught at the Universities of Leicester (2001-2006) and Keele (2006-2009) before joining Manchester in 2009. Phil is the Book Review Editor of Legal Studies. He is a member of the Society for Legal Scholars and of the Selden Society. In summer 2017 he was a Herbert Smith Freehills Visitor at the Faculty of Law, University of Cambridge.
