Biography
After graduation from the University of Leeds in 1992 (MB ChB), Dr Booton completed general professional training in West Yorkshire (Bradford & Airedale) and Specialist Respiratory/ general Internal Medicine Training in the North West, becoming a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1998. He developed a sub-speciality interest in Thoracic Malignancy, working extensively at the North West Lung Centre, The Christie Hospital and The Paterson Institute for Cancer Research, Manchester and successfully completed a thoracic oncology fellowship (Supervisor: Prof N Thatcher) and a PhD thesis on the pharmacogenomics of lung cancer in 2006.
