Biography
Roger studied Mathematics at Cambridge University, followed by a PhD in Theoretical Physics in the Cavendish Laboratory. His first position was as Lecturer and then Senior Lecturer in Decision Theory at the University of Manchester. He moved to take up a Chair in Management Science at Keele University, where he established the Management Science group in the Department of Economics, which subsequently became the Department of Management. Whilst there, he was associate editor of the Journal of the Operational Research Society for several years.
