Biography
Selma joined the University in January 2013 to lead our Real Estate teaching and research. After graduating with a science degree from the University of Edinburgh, she studied for her professional examinations whilst working for the Valuation Office, the Government's valuation service, before moving into private practice. Immediately prior to taking up her current position, Selma was Programme Director for postgraduate real estate at the University of Salford.
Research Interest
There are three threads to Selma's research interests. The first, which underpins her whole approach to real estate theory and practice, is making buildings work better for business. She is currently exploring the concept of customer-service and the role of place-making from the perspective of both landlords and tenants.
