Biography
Rick Smith was appointed to the position of Executive Vice President in February 2014, following the merger of Multi Packaging Solutions and Chesapeake. In this role, Rick is responsible for providing financial and commercial support for the company’s growth in the global healthcare market. In addition, Rick oversees the Innovation and Asset Management teams in Europe, as well as the European company pension plans. Rick previously served as CFO for Chesapeake when the merger was completed, and has been with the company for 18 years. In addition to a strong background in Finance, Rick has extensive industry experience in the commercial and operations areas, having managed the European label business for six years. A management accountant by training, Rick has worked for over 20 years in the print and packaging sector following a career in the mining and textile sectors.
