Biography
Dr Gupta is honorary Senior Lecturer at the Imperial College and pursues his research interests through collaboration with the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals. He holds a substantive appointment as Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital (LHCH), which is one of the largest cardiac rhythm units in the United Kingdom. He joined LHCH in March 2007, moving from St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in London. Dr Gupta did his clinical training in Cardiology as well as in Cardiac research in various London teaching hospitals, including St. Bartholomew's Hospital, Royal London Hospital and St. George's Hospital. Dr Gupta has worked with the National Library for Health to assess the scientific evidence for treatment for Atrial fibrillation for the National Health Service.
