Biography
Jeanine Rismondo studied biology at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, where she graduated in 2012. From there she came to the Robert Koch Institute in Wernigerode and completed her PhD in Microbiology in June 2016. During her PhD she was focussing on the cell division protein GpsB and its function in the human pathogen Listeria monocytogenes. In July 2016 she started as a Research Associate in the group of Prof. Angelika Gründling at the Imperial College London, Department of Medicine. In her first postdoc, she is studying aspects of the cell wall of Gram-positive bacteria.
