Biography
Peter Cherepanov's laboratory focuses on the structural biology of chromatin function and its interactions with retroviral integration machinery. Using X-ray crystallography as the primary tool, the researchers aim to elucidate three-dimensional structures of the complex machineries involved in regulation of eukaryotic DNA replication, gene expression and chromatin stability. The results will aid in the development of small molecules and virus-based vectors for treatment of cancer.
