Simone Borsci

Biography

Simone Borsci obtained a PhD in cognitive psychology in 2010 (University of Rome "La Sapienza") . He joined Imperial College as Research Fellow in human factors and UX on medical devices in 2015. Currently he is working in the NIHR Diagnostic Evidence Co-operative (DEC) London group. Simone has over 10 years of experience as a Human Factor expert working on people and technology interaction in both industry and academia. He has worked as UX lead of Italian Government working group of usability and as Research Fellow at Brunel University, and at the Human Factor Research Group of Nottingham University. Simone current research interests are: User preference before the use of medical device, and interaction with medical products. User experience, usability and accessibility studies of virtual and augmented environments. Participatory design for the development of e-learning platforms, website, egovernment tools, virtual systems, medical device, rehabilitation tools and assistive technologies. Human factors, modelling of human behaviour and cognitive processes involved during the interaction with interfaces and devices. Human factors for supporting people with disability, including health and rehabilitation technology interaction, services delivery, matching people and technology and environmental assessment.
