Biography
Dr. Varun Sundaram is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the National Heart and Lung Institute and a Clinical Research Fellow at the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust. He is also a Consultant Cardiologist at the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Cleveland, USA. After qualifying from Sri Ramachandra University, India in 2007, Dr. Sundaram trained in general internal medicine (residency) and in cardiology (fellowship) at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, USA. He has completed the Global Clinical Scholars Research Training (GCSRT) Program at Harvard Medical School in 2015. Dr. Sundaram moved to London in 2016 and is currently working with Dr. Jennifer Quint, Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College and her team. He is currently working on a comparative analysis of long term outcomes of heart failure patients in the real world using large databases in the UK and USA.
