Biography
Ann began her scientific career as a researcher with the Medical Research Council and then entered the clinical genetics diagnostic field. She was instrumental in developing such services for the NHS in both Edinburgh and Newcastle, and worked as head of the highly regarded NHS Molecular Genetics Laboratory in Newcastle for 16 years. She is an HCPC registered Clinical Scientist, a former chair of the Clinical Molecular Genetics Society and a former member of the UK Genetics Testing Network.
