Biography
Angela returned to an academic post in the Faculty of Business and Law in 2013 after some time away when she undertook various projects as a freelance data analyst and researcher, and also worked in Institutional Strategy at the Higher Education Academy supporting work on the Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR), and in Internationalisation, Retention and Success and Assessment and Feedback. Angela returned to an academic post in the Faculty of Business and Law in 2013 after some time away when she undertook various projects as a freelance data analyst and researcher, and also worked in Institutional Strategy at the Higher Education Academy supporting work on the Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR), and in Internationalisation, Retention and Success and Assessment and Feedback. She currently teaches business statistics and research methods at Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral level in Newcastle Business School and is conducting longitudinal research on the impact of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) on student perceptions of themselves in the work role. Her management role as Director of Review and Approvals within the Faculty involves coordinating quality processes and acting as Faculty representative on a number of University wide committees. She also chairs the Faculty Review and Approvals Sub-Committee.
Research Interest
Personal Construct Theory and its application in Business and Management research. Student experience, particularly experience in and influence of Work Integrated Learning.
