Biography
My background is in quantitative methods, which relates to my main teaching duties of model building, statistical analysis and business research methods. I teach on a wide range of programmes, from undergraduate to doctoral level. I also supervise dissertation students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I have a strong commitment to pedagogic research and I have applied for several APT awards over the last few years. One recent paper on assessment methods and procedures has been accepted as a University Red Guide. The title of my doctoral research is ‘PhD and professional doctorate: higher degrees of separation?’ I am investigating these two doctoral programmes by gathering opinions of doctoral students and programme providers. I am conducting a series of semi-structured interviews to collect qualitative data, followed by template analysis.
