Biography
Maureen has a history of educational innovation and has played a leading role in the development of the Continuing Professional Development undergraduate programme and the Surgical Care Practitioner postgraduate diploma in her previous academic role at Teesside University. She is co-author of the RCS 2014 Curriculum Framework for the Surgical Care Practitioner. She has recently completed 12 month tenure as ‘simulation officer’ with the Association for Simulated Practice in Health Care. Maureen is currently studying for a PhD in ‘Use of High Fidelity Simulation to facilitate decision making in clinical practice’.
