Biography
At NTU Alan will serve as Head of the Department of Economics and Professor of Economics and Public Policy.Alan was previously Head of Economics and Finance at the University of Portsmouth.
Research Interest
Alan has published extensively in the fields of cultural, environmental and social policy. Currently I am working on a number of projects relating to the trade in endangered species products; the relationship between greenhouse gas emissions and firm profitability and the development of ‘smart city’ projects in Europe.
