Biography
Martin is Head of the Accounting and Finance Department within the Business School. His role is to coordinate the department’s research, teaching and commercial activities, ensuring that the department’s research publications are of international standing and teaching content is contemporary, engaging and insightful. Martin is also a member of the School’s senior management team and as such is part of the executive group charged with the strategic management of the school. Martin is also the course leader for the Full Time MBA and has previously been course leader for the CIPFA programme at NBS.
Research Interest
Martin’s main research interests are based within the Public Sector and the Third and Voluntary Sectors. The main research themes Martin is involved in are as follows: Financial Resilience Austerity Strategic Leadership Performance Management Performance Improvement Financial Management Commissioning Procurement
