Biography
I joined the Department of Mathematics & Statistics as a Lecturer in Applied Mathematics in October 2014 after being a postdoc in the Complex Multiphase Systems group at Imperial College London. I graduated as a Doctor on Statistical and Condensed Matter Physics at the University of Barcelona under the supervision of Prof Aurora Hernandez-Machado.
Research Interest
My research interests cover a wide range of topics on the interface of applied mathematics, statistical physics, and engineering science. I give particular emphasis on soft condensed matter theory and fluid dynamics, including multiphase flows, microfluidics, and hydrodynamic instabilities; but also stochastic processes and emergent collective phenomena in complex and biological dynamical systems.
