John Donovan

Biography

Mr. Donovan has served as President and Chief Executive Officer since joining the company in 2016. He brings more than two decades of industry experience, including senior leadership roles within several biotechnology companies, as well as corporate finance advisory and transaction execution in investment banking. Prior to joining Tioma, Mr. Donovan was co-founder of Alios BioPharma and served as its Chief Business Officer and Chief Financial Officer from January 2011 through its acquisition by Johnson & Johnson (November 2014) until December of 2015. he served as Chief Financial Officer of CoMentis, a privately held biotechnology company and as head of Strategic Planning & Corporate Communications at InterMune, a publicly traded biotechnology company (subsequently acquired by Roche). Mr. Donovan began his career at Vector Securities International, a boutique life sciences investment bank, then at Banc of America Securities, a global, full-service investment bank. He received his Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
