Biography
Dr. Jufeng Wang is Senior Vice President of Safety Assessment. He joined Pharmaron in August 2016 and brings 25 years of experience in drug safety evaluation and pharmacology. Before joining Pharmaron, Dr. Wang held a position of Director of National Center for Safety Evaluation of Drugs, National Institutes for Food and Drug Control, CFDA, in China. He played important roles in preclinical drug safety assessment, especially in safety pharmacology. He played an important role in the review of technical guideline for drug research/development and GLP guidelines in China. Under his supervision, his team evaluated over one hundred new chemical entities, biologics, and traditional Chinese medicines. In addition, he led a team having developed new methods to evaluate potential drug toxicity, especially for cardiovascular risk. Dr. Wang received his Ph.D. at the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, China, followed by post-doctoral training at Harvard Medical School, USA. He worked at several pharmaceutical companies in USA and has gained global industry experiences. He is an author/co-author of 81 publications and book chapters.
