Biography
Dr. Jiang joined Pharmaron in 2014. Dr. Jiang has extensive pharmaceutical research and development experience with current research focus on preclinical safety assessment and translational science. Prior to this, Dr. Jiang joined WuxiAppTec (Suzhou) in 2009 where he was Executive Director, Head of Laboratory Sciences and a member of testing facility management, where he established genetic toxicology and preclinical immunology departments/programs, managed pharmacy, analytical chemistry laboratories and supervised biostatistics function. Prior to this, Dr. Jiang joined Merck in 2004 where he worked on investigative toxicology, safety biomarker, toxicogenomics and bioinformatics. Dr. Jiang gained extensive experience in early discovery while working for Johnson & Johnson and Schering Plough from 1996-2004. Dr. Jiang is a CUSBEA Fellow (Class 1988) and obtained his Ph.D. in biochemistry from University of California, Los Angeles (1994). His post-doctoral training was at SALK Institute and Scripps Institute. He was a professor at Peking University (2001 to 2003) and an adjunct professor at Kean University (2003-2004). Dr. Jiang has authored more than 30 peer reviewed scientific papers. He is on the editorial boards of several scientific journals.
