Research Interest

As well as the work with the Centre for Teaching Mathematics, I teach on modules in the School of Mathematics and Computing, mainly on the Mathematics with Education Degree Programme. I am module leader for the school based module offered to the final year students which places them in a local school for one morning a week, this involves working closely with the schools, a link which has developed from the enrichment activities offered to the schools. I am also module leader for the Mathematics Education Projects. My other teaching includes a service module for the Business School, providing a course which takes mathematically weak students and brings them up to a level where they can confidently work on the mathematics expected of them in their other business modules.  I also teach on some modules for the School of Education on the BEd Primary Programme, both subject knowledge for the math specialists and general teaching modules.
