Biography
Hassan Aboufarrag is a PhD student in Food and Health Program at Quadram Institute Bioscience. After graduation from Alexandria University (Egypt) with a Master’s degree in Food Science and Technology, he worked as a teaching assistant in the Food Science and Technology Department at the same university.
Research Interest
Hassan Aboufarrag research at Quadram Institute Bioscience is focused on the effect of anthocyanins, a group of polyphenols, and their metabolites on improving the lipid/lipoprotein profile and quality in humans, and to investigate the mechanisms by which anthocyanins and their metabolites exert these effects. He is using cultured cell models and also exploring effects in a human intervention study.
