Biography
Sophie Prosolek work focuses on the genetic control of cellular energy metabolism in the human liver. Using RNAseq and high-throughput metabolomics supported by specific enzyme assays and live cell energy phenotyping, she aim to characterize the role of a gene known as PAPOLG in metabolic homeostasis, shedding light on how its allelic status may influence systemic metabolic health. As part of her PhD studies she undertook a 3-month internship in research communications with the MADE Agency. During my time at MADE, she assisted in infographics design workshops with Infohackit and gained experience in media relations as lead publicist for the Pint of Science 2017 festival.
