Biography
She was currently a Lecturer in Sports & Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary University of London. She interested in how both humans and animals move in complex environments, what strategies they utilise and the neuro-mechanical control of locomotion. An important part of understanding this is observing how they interact with their environment and also determining the role of visual, vestibular, and proprioceptive inputs. It is in complex environments that performance limits will be reached, and these limits provide us with examples of locomotor trade-offs due to differing mechanical demands. It is the combination of all the above factors that will help our understanding of morphological evolution, lead to an increased knowledge of complex movement and has the potential to inform on clinical advances.
