Biography
Pavel has BEng (1997) and MSc (1999) in Electronics from Slovak University of Technology (Bratislava, Slovakia) and PhD (2006) in Biophysics from Institute of Molecular Physiology and Genetics (Bratislava, Slovakia). Before joining School of Engineering and Materials Science in 2013 he spent 6 years at Imperial College London working on super-resolution 3D topographical imaging, cellular nanomechanics, mapping of membrane channels and receptors at nanoscale, and interactions between nanoparticles and cellular processes. Pavel?s research focuses on the development and application of nanoprobe techniques for imaging, manipulation and engineering of biological processes and structures in 3D space at nanoscale.
