Biography
Steve Barlow is a Principal and Chartered Engineer with over 25 years of experience in a wide range of carbon management related projects. From an early career with utility providers and local authorities, Steve has also worked in the private sector real estate market, dealing with energy management in major regional shopping centres and key landmark London office properties, as well as other private consultancy practices. He has been involved with all practical aspects of utility procurement, invoice management and data handling as well as the technical issues relating to metering and the installation of mechanical and electrical energy saving plant and equipment, saving many thousands of pounds for clients. Steve currently heads a team of specialists in the processing of carbon management data, to ensure clients conform to both European and UK environmental legislation, in particular the UK Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC). Steve holds a BS in Fuel and Combustion Science and a Diploma in Management Studies. He is also a qualified Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) Low Carbon Consultant, providing advice and practical assessments for Energy Performance and Display Energy Certificates (EPCs, DECs).
