Biography
Having founded the company in 1974 age 21, Steve grew Redrow from a small civil engineering contractor to become one of the UK’s largest home builders. Steve floated the Company in 1994 before eventually stepping down as Chairman in November 2000. He returned to the helm in April 2009 having rebuilt his stake in the business. Steve is also Chairman of the Bridgemere Group of companies. In 2001 he set up his own charity The Morgan Foundation and having donated in excess of £230m to date, the charity is now one of the largest in the UK. Steve is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building and holds five Honorary Degrees/Doctorates. He was awarded the OBE in 1992 for services to the industry and the CBE in 2016 for services to philanthropy.
