Research Interest
Dr Weidmann's general research interests lie within the field of diabetes and obesity. Her research skills span both Molecular Biology and cell signalling as well as pharmacy practice research in this area Key research interests include: Molecular cell changes in response to changing glucose and oxygen concentrations; The applied and practical impact of these diseases relevant to Pharmacy; The effects of flavonoid antioxidants on the regulation of TRB3 expression in hepato and adipocytes; The cellular uptake and mechanism of flavanoid absorption in human intestinal cells.
