Biography
Dawn graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy from Grampian School of Occupational Therapy, Aberdeen and for 17 years worked within the NHS and Social Work Department in Grampian and Tayside. Dawn’s clinical role began in Woodend Hospital, Aberdeen followed by a post developing occupational therapy services in a new centre for adults with physical and neurological disabilities in Tayside subsequently moving to a community occupational therapy post working for Tayside then Angus Councils. Dawn then joined NHS Tayside as an occupational therapist in community hospitals and intermediate care before taking over as Head II OT in Perth Royal Infirmary with responsibility for occupational therapy delivery in both the acute and elderly rehabilitation wards and intermediate care services. This post involved playing a key role in the aligning of Health and Social care occupational therapy services. Dawn also had a lead role for the occupational therapy service for clinical governance and in a review of day service provision in the Perth locality.
