Biography
Heather studied a first degree in dietetics at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh to gain Registration as a Dietitian. After qualifying, she gained valuable experience working as a dietitian in hospitals in the north of England. She became Chief Paediatric Dietitian in Birmingham where her interest was stimulated to study for her MSc in Paediatrics. She moved back to Scotland as Paediatric Dietitian for NHS Tayside before joining the University. She maintains a strong interest in clinical nutrition and diabetes. As clinical lecturer she now occupies her time partly as a Community Dietitian with NHS Grampian and partly teaching students at the University.
